So by my calculation, if the votes cast in the recent 2015 UK General Election had been converted into seats in a completely proportional manner, UKIP would have had 81 times more seats than they actually do, the Greens 25 times more seats than they captured, and the only 2 party combination which would have delivered a majority coalition would have been the Conservative and Labour parties. In fact it is difficult to see any other 3 or even 4 party combination that would have been able to muster a combination that would provide a majority. A Con-Lab coalition? Beware what you wish for, or a much better idea?
